Alex is a certified birth and postpartum doula based on Esopus & Munsee land known as Kingston in the Mid-Hudson Valley. She offers a steady, grounding presence throughout the ebbs and flows of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She uplifts your confidence in your parental instinct, and provides hands-on support and education along the way.
When she did her first doula training in 2018, she began the shift from her previous career as a research biologist. Her practice is informed by the years of continual education from her doula trainings, Childbirth Education Facilitator training, Spinning Babies Workshop, Manhattan Birth Doula Mentorship, and hands-on experience supporting 15+ families.
In labor and birth support, she ensures you have informed consent each step of the way. She offers comforting touch and relaxation techniques, as well as labor positions that may provide ease throughout labor. In postpartum support, she assists you in your family’s transition, attuning to you and your baby’s specific needs.
When Alex is not doula-ing, she is probably knitting, sipping coffee at her favorite cafe, or taking nature walks.
